This course is packed with great and colourful information including Andy Sensei’s time as a bouncer and his stint on the biggest loser as a trainer. Blue Belt is a great belt. Your techniques will start to flow as you gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and application of Ju from the the word Ju Jitsu. The self defence moves use more body motion and less power. Whilst training in the dojo with talented teachers and fellow students allows you to truly step up in ability, I have found that having an online course is likewise a highly valuable tool.
There are invaluable lessons in mindset in the courses, covering items such as confidence and self awareness as well as others, which are all profound ussues for martial arts as well as life.
Andy Sensei also provides detailed explanations on all of the syllabus. It is great to be able to replay and rewatch, as there are so many facets in each of the moves and techniques.
It is also invaluable watching the skilled teachers demonstrate, aiding in understanding each of the techniques when you can watch and rewatch. You also get to see the way they approach each of the moves and the intensity utilised, which we can use as a yardstick to aim for and achieve.
Overall I greatly appreciate having the online course in addition to regular training in the dojo. It adds to tremendous value I already receive from Northstar martial arts.
